These would be made using organic ingredients, and you’ll want to make sure that the ingredients list shows that they used organic sea salt instead of just ordinary salt. It may not seem like a big deal, and organic products have been taking some heat in the media for not being as healthy as what once was thought, but it’s what they leave out that is just as important as what goes in to the products.
Homemade Cheese Crackers
If you’re feeling ambitious you can also try making your own baked cheese crackers so that you can have full control over the ingredients used. That way you can buy the best for your baby and bake some love into them as well. They’ll also make a great snack for you too, so be sure to make a big batch for the family. You’ll still want to limit how much you give to your baby because the chances are good that these will be high in sodium and fat once you get done.
It’s important to make sure that your baby gets off to the right start, and the longer you can delay giving them junk food like Goldfish crackers, the better off they’ll be. At some point they’ll probably be exposed to all of the snack foods out there, but there’s no need to rush them along.
